Gudauri is located in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of The Republic of Georgia. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 34.8 km of slopes available. 15 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,993 and 3,276 m.
Gudauri is the largest and highest ski resort in Georgia and it continues to grow at a rapid pace. Mt. Sadzele (3,307 m) is accessed by lifts up to 3,279 m elevation. There are slopes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding and the slopes are FIS certified. The winter sports resort also lures visitors with its freeriding and heli-skiing opportunities. Large quantities of natural snow make the surrounding peaks on the border between Europe and Asia an ideal territory for powder enthusiasts. The winter sports resort is located on the Kreuz Pass, about 120 km north of Tbilisi. A modern ski resort for all types of skiing has developed here, in the middle of the Caucasus mountains away from mass tourism. Cat skiing, night skiing, cross-country trails, ski tours and snow tubing are also offered in Gudauri.

Arrive Tbilisi International Airport, Georgia
Our driver will meet you at Tbilisi International Airport and transfer you to Gudauri Ski Resort, via our shop/ rental office in Tbilisi where you will be kitted out with your rental gear. The drive to Gudauri takes you along the Georgian military highway high into the Caucasus mountain range. It’s a 3 hour drive with stops at the Jinvali reservoir and Ananuri castle. On arrival if there’s time you be able to drop your luggage off at our cosy guesthouse and hit the slopes straight away. Your base will be a family-run local guesthouse in Old Gudauri close by the first ski lift.

Armed with your unlimited ski pass you can spend the day exploring the resorts many slopes, café’s and restaurants. The newly opened Kobi ski lift now allows visitors to ski on the far side of cross pass and is a must visit slope for the unparalleled views of Mount Kazbek and the Caucasus Range along the Russian border. For the kids there are ski schools, magic carpets and snow tubing. From beginners to experts there is something for everyone here. Ski touring, Heli-skiing, ski mobile riding and snow shoe trekking are all optional extras today.

We say goodbye to our mountain retreat today and head for the plains of kakheti and the cradle of wine. Georgia is the birthplace of wine; the remains of Georgian traditional wine making have been found to date back 8000 years. On our arrival in Kakheti you will visit Alaverdi Monastery where the monks make their own distinct wine, before heading on to twins wine cellar for Dinner and wine degustation. After dinner we will head into Telavi a half hour drive away for our overnight in the centre of this beautiful old capital of the wine region.

You’ll set off after a hearty breakfast toward Tbilisi through forests and rolling hills via the Gombori pass. Arriving around lunchtime the afternoon will be yours to explore this magnificent city on the crossroads of East and West. Your hotel is a two minute walk from the centre of Old Tbilisi across the mtkvari river, you can meander the old streets, visit Narikala Fortress and walk along the ramparts to the Mother of Georgia Statue offering superb views over the whole of Tbilisi. For your last night we will enjoy a traditional Supra with Georgian dancing for our entertainment.
