In the morning we meet at MPLUS for a pre-tour briefing, equipment check, and the rental of any additional gear if required. Once everything is organized, our minibus takes us to Stepantsminda (1,882 m). From there we switch to local vehicles for a short transfer to Gergeti Trinity Church (2,170 m), the starting point of our trek.
From the church we begin our ascent towards Altihut (3,014 m). This renowned European-style alpine hut, built with sustainability in mind, will serve as our base for the next few days as we start to acclimatize to the higher altitude.
Lunch and dinner included.
Overnight at Altihut.

Trekking time: ~3 hours
After a hearty breakfast, we set out for an acclimatization hike to Arsha Pass. This climb helps the body adjust to the increasing altitude while offering spectacular views of the surrounding region.
From the pass you can enjoy panoramic views over the Sno Valley, the Chaukhi Mountains, Stepantsminda, and the Truso Valley. After spending some time at the top, we descend back to Altihut for another comfortable night in the mountains.

After another hearty breakfast at Altihut, we continue our ascent towards the Meteo Station. Upon arrival, we leave our main luggage, take a short rest, and then continue with an acclimatization hike up to around 3,900 m, where we visit one of the most unusual and highest churches in Georgia.
After spending some time at altitude, we return to the Meteo Station for dinner and overnight.

If weather conditions are favourable, today will be the summit day. We start very early, usually around 2:00 am, after a light breakfast. Your guide will carefully assess the weather and mountain conditions before making the final decision to attempt the summit.
The climb follows glaciated terrain and requires steady pacing as we ascend towards the summit of Mount Kazbegi (5,054 m). After reaching the summit and enjoying the incredible views across the Greater Caucasus, we begin our descent, making a short break at the Meteo Station before continuing down to Altihut.
If conditions are not suitable for a summit attempt, the day will serve as a reserve day to rest and prepare for a summit attempt the following day.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Distance: 17 km
Trekking time: ~11 hours to the summit
Overnight:

As on Day 4, we start very early in the morning and make our way across the glacier towards the summit of Mount Kazbegi (5,054 m). After reaching the summit, we descend back to the Meteo Station and continue down to Altihut.
